Sneha : To Each Its Own, no? As I mentioned in my post, the movie is loaded with typical masala film antics but the underlying thought was sincere to the theme of the film. Obviously it could have been put forth in a much serious manner but then the commercial aspect would have to be compromised with. Social causes one side & business profitability, the other side. :)

Dhruva : What to say, sweet toothed I am. ;)

Deepseas : I liked Kal Ho Na Ho too , much easily digestible compared to his other attempts.

Nice to see you back here :)
I haven't seen the movie yet, and perhaps i'll settle for a dvd watch so that one can skip the boring parts.

As for all of Karan Johar's movies, I felt "Kal Ho na Ho" was the one most endearing and perhaps believable, although the circumstances may have seen contrived. Rest of the candy floss..required a (mental) floss after watching..

>>> But then again, I’d rather have him selling candy floss.

LOL! :) ... .sounds like you are totally addicted to those "highly diabetic candy floss"

BTW, i liked the movie too for the same reason you said. There may be flaws, but the underlying argument is important to be said.

Movie might be relevant but neither was it intelligent nor entertaining nor did it make me think !
genuinely boring movie.
Your post reminded me of 'SHOOT ON SIGHT' . A bful movie carrying the same message.
I also feel that repetition of issues causes people to become desensitized. So, i wonder how relevant are such movies/dramas in today's time..
