Indian Public (ki) Lagaao, Featuring King Khan.
First it was this and then it was the 2nd match between Kolkotta Knight Riders vs. (what’s that) Hyderabad team, where Bollywood’s so called Badshah was seen pimping for his (feed an entire African nation worth) team. And joining him in this charade, who’s who of the Hindi Film Industry were also seen shaking a leg.
By the way - what’s with the Gandhi Son-in-law aka. Mr. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra? The pace at which he was hopping, I am guessing an item number in SRK’s next home production is definitely on the cards.
Even though I think of Shah Rukh as nothing more than an average actor turned premium marketing whore – I do agree, the man is gifted with Midas’s touch. Kolkotta Knight Riders have won two matches in a row.
However looking at SRK’s history of buying film awards, I wouldn’t be surprised if dal mein kuch kala was here too.
Anyhoo, the man continues to produce crap and we, the desi junta, keep lapping it up.

Cricket just got sexier. And King Khan’s right there, playing his characteristic part. Seriously, the guy has the Midas touch.

Cricket was already a commercial with a bat and a ball thrown in for good measure. Now it’s an item number. What interesting times we live in!

Lets be fair here Sakshi - very few of our so-called superstars actually deserve the money they make. Not even your beloved Sallu.
It’s lke someone once said - there’s a market for shit if you package it right.

u know sakshi, comment #7 is exactly the counterpart of this post ;-). of course, the “getting personal” part is highly abominable, but otherwise it does exactly what u’r doing. point to ponder? no?
cheers,

Asuph & Supremus - What spoilsports you people re! He is my muse (but only after Johnny boy), so difficult to let go. Plus doesn’t the man himself believes in taking digs at others, all in the name of “harmless amusement”.
SwB - I totally agree. And that’s why I said tagged him as “premium marketing whore”.
Ashish - “Dance naked in front of million people”; Hmmmm, now thats a thought.

ah, the man has style. learn taking potshots from him. i hate his acting skills, but as far as taking potshots is concerned he’s my baap.
your post sadly didn’t measure up to taking potshots but rather seemed like a cry-baby or a frustrated aunty kind of rant. that’s why i yawned.
for contrast that old post where u put SRK and MJ photos. now that’s quality.
cheers,
asuph

Asuph - Kya boss, tum bhi na. Chalo at least something found of quality here. But please Aunty mat bolo na.
As for comment No. 7, well I understand sentiments of die-hard fans - I am a Salman Khan fan after all.

An average actor turned marketing whore….you got that one spot on. I’ve been saying the same thing to folks around me for a long time, though in a more polite fashion. In my case, i usually bring up the example of Aamir Khan who i think is the best actor in the country today. His brilliant pieces of work are being over-shadowed by SRK’s marketing skills.
Also, with respect to the whole paisa paisa funda. I heard the 70000 odd people who turned up at the eden to watch that match didnt even have adequate drinking water. So much for hype and publicity and asking the common people to get behind your team!

Cricket has turned too commercial it seems. The most hyped team is KKR.

Your anger w.r.t. SRK seems to have roots somewhere unknown.

who is that not true of?
