Love, Suspicion And Murder.

What’s the mantra for a successful relationship?

Frankly speaking I have no freaking clue. And I believe nobody has an answer to this, simply because there isn’t one definite to begin with. But what I do know is that when shit has to happen it will happen. And all we can do (and have the capability to do) is give our fullest to survive through it all. The outcome may not always be as per our desires but the fact that we do continue to exist is a big achievement in itself.

Unfortunately though the above is easier said than done for some. A relationship which could have been rescued or at most, finished on an amicable note was sadly put to rest at a morgue house. And this is the story of now deceased Rinku Sachdeva and Amit Budhiraj.

rinku

Amit Budhiraj, 30, allegedly killed his wife, Rinku Sachdev and hanged himself to death at their house on Saturday, 22nd March. The motive, as per the suicidal note left behind by Amit – He suspected his wife of having an affair with her co-worker.

Scary, isn’t it? A young bubbling life put to an end over a doubt. Only a doubt. Just a doubt.

Is it really that difficult to talk things out, even with the ones you claim to love? Why are words such as trust and commitment, reduced to just words? And what about humanity, does it even exist?

They say it’s a wonderful feeling – the being “in” love one. But what about being blinded by love? The difference between the two is an equivalent of heaven and hell. One propagates faith and compassion whereas the other fuels jealousy, self-centeredness and indifference.

And I guess Amit was blinded by love. Blinded by his preconceived insecurities.

Blinded by insecurity, more like it. I have no sympathy for insecure, control-obsessed men. Poor Rinku, what a punishment for bad taste in men.

It’s a blot on the kingdom of love. Love means to understand, sacrifice and die for the other to save him or her, if need be, instead of killing. It is an unfortunate event. I also believe that we should check a case of this sort from multiple standpoints and dig into the realities.

Since he also died after killing her, we need to pity him. He loved her so much that he could not even imagine an event that he never dreamed to happen in relation to her.

Ending life is a severe spiritual crime. The departed souls remain birthless until their sins are experienced in the form of lighter souls. I pity these lovers. Such events scare good lovers also to go ahead in formalizing and continuing their relationships in the desired manner. May God bless those poor souls!

Love can’t be explained really. It can get as complicated as simple. As easy as difficult. As weird as normal.

This isn’t love. So the question of being blinded by it doesn’t even arise. Let’s go back to your previous post to see what exactly is love…
The premium on female fidelity isn’t shocking - it’s been expected from women since the very beginning. Indeed, it’s the very rockbed of the social construct we ‘celebrate’ as marriage. And if some bright spark actually thinks to himself, ‘it’s expected of men too’, then let’s wait for a headline stating that a man having an EMA was stoned to death by angry neighnbours shocked at his behaviour.

Very well put Sakshi. Its really depressing to watch people taking such drastic steps purely based on their preconceived notions without giving the other person a chance.

May Rinkus soul rest in peace.

Strangely even in this day and age we somehow only blame the women when it comes to adultery and loose character men simply walk away without any social implications. Double standards seem to be order of the day…..

I disagree with ur note + following comments..

Why does everybody hv sympathy for Rinku n none for Amit?

there is no smoke without fire… Do u think a software engineer with 9 yrs experience be so illogical to think ill of his wife without any facts? OOO u guys were thinking of “unselfish love” — well that is limited to hindi movies for actresses in supporting role!!

Why blame Amit for everything — talking or dialog or trust is a two sided affair. He can’t hv talked it out if she wasn’t interested in talking?

@Preeti .. Why this fake feminism and sympathising with her … she didn’t lose her life for Amits’ mistake — she lost it coz of her own actions / behavior — Won’t she hv killed Amit if she had similar suspicions about him??

@IdeaSmith … being reasonable and open-minded in a marriage doesn’t mean to tolerate things that are a ‘no no’ in marriage. If u cast such acts as control-obsessed, blinded, insecure actions and are libreal to forgive these acts — I envy ur spouse.

Take my word — when u love somebody it hurts to be ditched!!

Hi Parijat,

It was a wonderful comment by you. I have no even 1% scope to counter your arguments. You presented the facts related to real love and people involved in it. Congratulations for dissecting an issue in such an appreciable manner.
