I have to admit, I have a weakness for all things “sexy”. (My closed ones will happily testify for this characteristic).
And Finally.
Finally after two weeks of round the clock Puppy Dog Look and non-stop pleading, I have managed to convince my Company’s Board of Directors, namely my mum and brother to approve my purchase of (probably) the sexiest gadget of my life (as of now, who has seen the future!).
Hold your breath people, so to be joining my iBaby is going to be none other than, the stylish MacBook Air. Ah! Sweetie, no need to rub those eye, you read it right – my fingers will be soon fluttering on the world’s thinnest laptop. And it looks freaking gorgeous.
The New Year is good, at last.
Burn…Burn…Burn you people, he he ha ha hoo hoo [This is the max evil I can be].

Oooh.. Aaarrghh… no ! I thought I was going to buy it first… Noo…. you can’t take this joy away from me
Oh Well… you are _one_ lucky gal !
The MacBook Air is one stunning piece of enginnering. Trust me, you’ll love it.
Just one question though. Is this going to be your first Mac ? Or you’ve always been a Mac user ?
Anyhow, have you tried considering the MacBook Black ?

First rule at buying any Apple product: Never buy their first revision / generation product.
I sure it works out – if I were you, I would wait
– Welcome to MAC club btw.

This is seriously awesome news Sakshi, congrats on your purchase and more importantly when does it ship?
Also wats your config like and did you get the external CD writer as well?
I kinda second Supremus comments above but hope it isn’t the case for you this time around, for your sake as well as Apple’s.
Welcome to the world of MAC.

They say Once you go Mac, you never go Back! Time will of course tell how true that becomes in your case. Given the sexy tag you bestowed on this machine and the fact that it belongs to you, how much do you think I can auction it off for if I manage to nick it?
Ad on Ebay would be something like,
MacBook Air – Used by celebrity blogger, bidding starts at US$ 50000

Preshit – Sorry boss.
As for your questions, yes this will be my first Mac though I will admit I am heavily counting on the “dual” platform feature. With regards to Black MacBook, I was going in for the white one since a cousin complained that Black ones leave finger print marks. However now that this baby is out, Black Mac is history.
Ravi – Thanks. I still haven’t purchased it though. Will be doing it tonight, “21″ is a lucky number as per numerology.
Also with regards to the flaws, bhai yaar “Chand pe bhi toh daag hai”.
Pensive Lawyer – Will surely do. As for the iPhone, post coming up very soon. I have been using it for over a month now and I am NOT disappointed at all.
Kaushal – True dat.
Black MacBook Pro ?? Didn’t know they made Pro in Black too, thought they came only in Silver.
Supremus – You know I thought the same when the iPhone was out – leave this one, get the next one. But with First Generation iPhone I am quite satisfied, so I don’t mind taking a chance with Air Book as well. Plus, who knows later on the “novelty” may die out.
Mario – I know that, silly.
Sid – Thanks. I am not buying from the Indian Apple store, from what I have the lower end version is retailing around 90 grand + 4 grand for optical drive. Whereas in the US market I am getting the same configuration for around 82 grand including optical drive.
Delivery is around 4 weeks in US. And how long it take for me to get it from US to India, now that depend on my Brother again…trying to convince him to finance my US holiday trip as well.
Sumit – Thank you for the compliment. But frankly I doubt the starting bid tag of US$ 50000 will fetch any takers. Nope I am not trying to be modest, its just some things in life are simply priceless.
