Not too sure if the above will work in reality, mostly likely to have a negative impact in stead. But then again if you are Enrique Iglesias, life is full of possibilities.

@ Saks: Geez, some of those lines are so ridiculous! But what is it about the “Be my girlfriend, I’ll protect you till the day I die” line? Seems out of place with the other ridic lines!

Interesting read.
Girls also use pickup lines.. but they are more verbose and so subtle that other person may not notice. But thats just an observation.. people may choose to differ.
But the concept of pickup lines is wonderful that even if you are the best you may end messing things up. More about the person’s confidence and ‘concept’ used rather than the person itself.

The perceived cheesiness of a pick-up line is inversely proportional to the hotness of the guy mouthing it.
Imagine the exact same words said by, for example, a creepy-looking guy like Prem Chopra or Amrish Puri, and then by [insert name of an actor/star you think is hot]. See the difference?
