Not that she knows any language fluently exept hindi, albeit in the learning-level 2 process of the language. But, what i found odd is the reason katrina chose to do films south(malayalam movie) in the begining of her career. According to katrina, doing malayalam movies will help her improve her language skills, what language? and if its hindi, ther is no way on earth learning malayalam will help a person understand hindi. Isn't "learning" HINDI the way to "understand" HINDI. Well, lara was not mimicking tamil, afterall she spoke quite well, it ws just Kj wanted to know if a hindi actress can speak tamil, a very foreign language to Kj more than gujarati, bengali, punjabi. Lara shud know better, as she is from bangalore and there english, tamil, kannada,telugu and malayalam are main langauages ther accordin to tht order. After doing a south movie, before which she claimed to have been excited about,she goes on to ridicule it publicly.Its not tactful and its very demeaning especially because there are fantastic talents from the South and not all films are the way they had described and make a mockery of. Anyway, both these heroines are yet to even work with Mani Ratnam...so they are in no position to talk holistically about Southern film-making. I seriously didn't think she could act or possessed half a brain (blame her movies) but she came across as intelligent and articulate. She talks sense and her answers seem unrehearsed.
