Delhi Hog (Evening Snack) Part 2: Old Memories

Focus of Attention- Long Island Ice Tea

Where- TGIF

Location- Vasant Vihar

Yes, I do know we have TGIF in Mumbai. As a matter of fact it’s barely a 20 minutes ride from home however the Vasant Vihar TGIF holds sentimental value for me. This was the very first TGIF I ever visited and also the very first outing where I made my cousin sister (way over 18 years of age) taste her very first LIT.

So we began our Saturday evening with taking full advantage of the 4.30-7.45 pm Happy Hour. I ordered my usual while my sister in-law went with Lemon Margarita (disappointed with the glasses they were served in).

What I truly like about VV’s TGIF is its lively crowd and the whole feel of the place. It’s huge, packed with people (some really nice ones) and most importantly they have a DJ to take care of the musical needs.

Side Nibbles-

Dynamites – Excellent

Diced Chicken with Bleu sauce – Very Bad

French Fries – Can never go wrong with them

Nachos – Horrible

Drinks-

Long IslandIce Tea – Disappointing

Lemon Margarita – Okayish

Dry Martini – Good

Since I was very disappointed with my drinks plus the chicken, I made it a point to let the manager know. In return we got the most expensive desert from the menu. Later in the evening we headed towards "Ricks" at the Taj and Boy! does that place rock or what. Fantastic music, amazing crowd and really cute bartenders. I never enjoyed my Balieys as much as I did that night.

Ooof…enuff already. Dilli has enough of foodies, Mumbai wants its favorite Punju back!
