Though I have found a target to blame this on, I shall refrain from spelling their name out loud with the fear of losing the remaining number on my FeedReader.
But seriously yaar, not a long time ago there use to be a beaming smile on my prettylicious face, bright and early in the morning – when my FeedReader assured me that I was being read. And not by a handful but by plenty.
With every passing week, the figure on my FeedReader grew and grew. A clear indication, my “blog-love†was spreading. I was making an impression, good or bad, who really gives a damn! A friend (???), couple of days ago re-taught me the first rule of Advertising, “There is no such thing as bad publicityâ€, so yeah you can hate me or love me for my Rakhi Sawant fondness or loathing of John Abraham – it’s all hunky-dory as long as you are reading me.
But off-late, it seems someone’s black tongue has affected the growing domination of my blog readership. From being somewhere in 140s, it has taken a plunge down and is currently stationed somewhere in early 100s. A little fluctuation, here and there, is acceptable but if the trend continues than that means its “serious troubleâ€.
So what’s the peeroblem?
I have no freaking clue. The incoming traffic to TEIO couldn’t be better; it’s pretty much between 850-920 unique hits a day and has been like that for a month now. During the “feed†hay-days, daily traffic was around 750 or so. Don’t know if the two are related by any sorts but one would think if the traffic goes up, so do the feeds. (Maybe some of you techie-bloggers could explain this phenomenon).
On seeing my distressed state, a non-blogger friend remarked, “Maybe it’s not your blog, it’s you†(Yeah, I do have friends whom I can count on during bad times). Well, hopefully it’s not me and even if it is me, I shall continue to believe it’s not.
The sole purpose of doing this post is to just let those gone-readers know, I really do miss you guys. And maybe, just maybe the insertion of popular Truckee-slogan, “Buri nazar wale tera muh kalaâ€, might help in bringing my “blog-love†back.

Hi Saakshi,
There are of course many like me who come daily to your blog but dont have the habit to subscribe to the feeds. Maybe that explains your daily unique hits.
Dont worry readers will come and go

Maybe it was all those racist opinions you were displaying that offended made some people and made them unsubscribe

@ Saks: Hey babe, you’re still Celebrity Blogger #1 in my book!
And don’t worry about the feed – they’re gonna go up really soon – my prediction!
@ Anonymous: What racist comments? Why do people like you make stupid statements without anything to prove their point – and without any name too, how convenient!

I noticed your alternate link doesn’t go to your feedburner feed but to your blog feed directly, so people subscribing through that aren’t counted! You should change your blog template so that points to feedburner as well.

Feed count, like regular web hits go down during the weekends. I too have the same question as you do – does web hits correlate with feed counts? Theoretically, they shouldn’t but I too have noticed those ups-n-downs.
But as Sphere says, install Feedburner Replacement Plugin and redirect your feed. Let subscribers use “http://sakshijuneja.com/blog/feed”. You’ll get a fairly accurate count then.

Whether 2 people read your 102 people read u, you should be happy about what you write. If you are, then why care how many people read you?
. Its those who read that matter, not how many anyways

Patrix and Sphere – The trick seems to have worked….yipppeee feeds are upto 322.
Supremus – Well I totally agree with you however since the drop was quite big, it could not go un-noticed.
