It’s been ages since I last stepped into the corridors of a school. And more than a decade ago visited the Nursery section. But thanks to my 3 year old niece, Arianna, I finally had a perfect Monday morning.

Today was Arianna’s first day at school. Frankly speaking I don’t remember mine but am sure for mum it must have been equally jittery as it was for me, holding those tiny fingers in the palm of my hand and walking into the gates where a new world awaits our beloved.
Where most other tiny toddlers wouldn’t let their mummies (and few daddies) out of sight and would follow them like puppies, my gal was well-behaved, independent and a bundle of excitement. I guess being aware of the fact that her older brother is a part of the same school, it kind-off gave her confidence and self-assurance.

We did a few puzzles, sat on the swing, went down the slide and most importantly made some new friends. It’s quite amusing how we grown-ups behave in front of these little ones and our attempt to communicate in “baby-talk†truly sucks but still it never stops.
Overall pretty much a successful first day at school and only wish it stays this way forever for her.
Ps…Sherry for some reasons missed you a lot.
