Just the other day I was chit-chatting with a friend over how gorgeous Shilpa Shetty seems to be looking after her Celebrity Big Brother victory. A perfect example of what instant money and fame can do to a person, remarked my friend. Na, but seriously Shilpa transformed into a stunner with her sexy figure, lavish and chic outfits, just perfect face paint and ‘I am on top of the world’ attitude.
But then she had to ruin it all by wearing a ‘Lehenga’ for the premier of her to-be released Hindi film Life In A Metro in London.
I mean in God’s name what was this woman thinking!! Agreed, she might have chosen this attire to promote her Indianess but this is a freaking movie premier and not some high class mehandi party. An elegant sari on her perfectly toned rack would have done the job with maximum impact. As a matter of fact, sister Shamita draped in green sari is looking far more impressive than badi didi. And check out the look on Mama Shetty’s face, kind-off creepy no?
And then you have certain Bollywood starlets who think by wearing a designer chaddi (and nothing else) to a gala event, they are re-defining ‘the cool’ factor. Thankfully ‘expressionless’ Mr. Abraham didn’t go to such lengths but what’s with the monkey cap. Fine it’s not your film but dude there is something called “Dressed for the occasionâ€.
Needless to say, their stylists and designers need to be sacked.

Sakshi: Although I’m not a big fan of Ms Shetty myself, I still think she’s got it to flaunt it. But agree with about her choice of outfit and a saree being a much better option at the premiere I reckon. But then, if you’re a famous celeb who cares about what u wear . Money talks baby.
