Pandu, No More.

They say all good things in life do come to an end, someday. And here is a perfect example from my life. Barely 270 days old, my dearest Pandu was found ‘dead’ in the back pocket of my Mont Blanc office bag.

The killer and its motive are yet unknown.

Pandu and I had gotten real close, one can say he was an extended part of me. He took care of my musical needs, while traveling from US to the beautiful Rivera Coast, from one Blog party to another, helped me with my bathroom singing lessons and most important of all, stuck with me through countless hours stuck in awful Mumbai traffic jams.

Now it seems I would have to rely on the crappy radio stations to comply my daily sing-a-long quota, something I had given up a decade ago.

Ah! Such is life.

Dearest Pandu, you will be sorely missed.

Ps…the purpose of this post is also to let you know, what’s ‘most-wanted’ on my wish-list at present. Thank you…in advance.

I’d suggest Creative Zen Vision M. It’s one of the most underrated MP3 players in town. Blame it on iPod’s superior marketing and hype. I am a proud user.
(of course wouldn’t buy it for you though!) :)

Hey, Your Pandu is not dead…..its a very common problem…and you can get it fixed…the battery in the pandu needs to be re-started …take it to the dealer or the nearest Virgin Megastore and they will help you with it..!!!!

Clix may cure the reflexive circular motions you make whenever someone hands you an iPod-shaped object. —Carlos Bergfeld

You seem to have taken a lesson from Rani in TRRP. ;-) But I second Utsa’s suggestion. I have been using a nano for 1.5 years now and never had a problem. And I am still in love with that sleek design.

Piker : And I though you were getting somewhere. Sheeks.!!! ;)

Piyush : With friends like yourself…who needs enemies. Thank you for you kind words.

Gautam : Yaar…jale pe namak mat lagaoo. Pandu ain’t coming back…so says the Apple repair center in Mumbai. And we don’t have Virgin (or Slutty) stores here. :(

Utsa : Mine was a Nano too. Do you promise to get me a new one too??? ;)

Sam : Dumbo to you too. Pandu was bought in US off ebay…so no warranty in Mumbai. iRiver, will surely check it out.

Harsh : Well if some like Saif would have bumped off my Ipod, I am sure I wouldn’t be this depressed. :)

Pandu sounds like some police constable’s name. His demise can probably be put down to the shame Pandu had on knowing his name. I suggest getting the latest version of I-Pod n giving it a more cool, more hip name…

Does’nt surprise me, With a name like “Pandu” he most probably committed suicide.

Saakshi,
My name is actually Pandu, and I give the deepest condolences over my namesake’s death.
