Yeh Shaadi Nahi Ho Sakti

In a Bollywoodish twist, a model cum actress who claimed she was married to actor Abhishek Bachchan attempted suicide outside the Bachchans’ home early on Friday mornin.

Jhanvi Kapoor cut her wrist outside Prateeksha, the Bachchans’ bungalow in Juhu, claiming she unable to bear Abhishek Bachchan’s marriage to Aishwarya Rai later in the day.

You can read more on this crap, here.

As for reality, this is nothing but a classic case of obsession for attention.

There is evidence to suggest that patriarch of the Bachchalan family drove Parveen Babi insane. Not only that, he double timed Parveen with Rekha while he was still married to Jaya and lusting after Nazia Hassan. Given the history of the Bchchalans it is very difficult to just dismiss this case. Justice only means something when we are willing to allow ten criminals to go free so that one innocent is not wrongly punished. Perhaps this women is just seeking attention, but dismissing her without knowing the full facts would be an atrocity.

Eh Shaan, isn’t that like tetra-timing rather than double timing?

Anyways, bro tells me that they have been airing this news since FIVE AM.That was the breaking news at five AM.It’s not fifteen minutes of fame it’s eight hours of wasted air-time.And she isn’t ‘model-cum-actress’ as is being reported, she is just an EXTRA who featured in just Dus in one of the songs.

Abhinav,

As I said before I too feel that perhaps this is just a clever attention grab, but it has to be said that whenever a girl falls for Lil C there is always going to be a catch (either she is eying Big B’s ever eroding legacy, or desiring some minor role in some minor movie or has a history of screw ups and feels that no one is going to marry her). The truth is, it is hard to rationalize why anyone would fall for this Ugly Beta. Hence I am not surprised that she is just an extra. Nonetheless, even extras have a right to dignity. Lil C cannot use and abuse her just because she is an extra. Society cannot turn blind and deaf just because she is an extra. Considering the difference between the power of the Bachchalans and the power of this “extra”, she deserves all the media attention she can garner.

I am not contradicting you or anything as such however I think the story is being blown out of proportion. For example,if someone works in a hotel they are not necessarily the manager or the hotel owner but they may also be people waiters and chefs. And no one calls the waiter “managers”.So if she is an extra, her designation remains the same.

Yes,true,we shouldn’t turn an blind eye on her but certainly don’t you think eight hours of air-time is a really long time. This wedding has over-shadowed every other news item. But the way she tells the facts. She can’t recall his email address or phone number. She stores them in a diary but the diary got stolen and all the date from her computer has been removed.Sounds rather convinient.

Anyways Shaan,I don’t want to argue with you over this.I don’t see why I should waste our energy over such an issue. And just to clarify doubts, that tetra-timing thing was a joke.

I was hoping that another one would turn up in a true bollywood tradition saying “Main tumhare bachche ki maa banne wali hoon”

Euler, such a scenario is perhaps not a matter of if, but when. I once learned that if an equation is proved correct for n equal to 1 and also for n equal to 2 then there exist a cause to test whether the equation is correct for n equal to x.

“a classic case of obsession for attention”

… well, she seems to be getting what she’s after, then! :D This piece of news seems to be everywhere.

How can her method of getting roles be any more shameful than Lil C’s. If Lil C is the ying then she is the yang. To each his own ….

Seeing Big B in almost every frame of The Beauty and The Beast wedding and keeping the “Kajra Re” song in mind, I am wondering (yes my friends my mind wanders from time to time), whether if there were pictures of the actual Suhaag Raat (just for the sake of this post), would we see the Big Bad Bachchalan in those pictures also ? Almost in every frame you think ?

Sooner or later Ask will question whether she got three for the price of one. Three you ask, yes three is what I said. Three, because where there is Big B there is Amar Singh also. I am sure by know he knows the words and the steps to “Kajre Re” as well as Big B and Lil C.

She turned out to be a hoax after all those 8 hours..
Just found it fun to see her uncles .. “mere baap dada minister the, mein bhi top hoon ” .. hehehe..
Most of the people who know her have debunked her claims.. She could atleast give ONE proof.. like she mentioned emails..
And man, she is some fundamentalist mullah’s daughter in law.. Is it politics.. Is that guy anti-Mulayam or something.. I suspect politics at play here…

ShaanKhan, Bhai kya dushmani hai Big B se… Are you another “Saahrukh” fan ??

Good thing,Shaan still hasn’t noticed that “jahan Amar Singh hai, wahaan Anil Ambani hai”.There you go,another case of tetra-timing.

The woman is psychopath…who desperately needs medical attention. And this I say out of genuine concern not for the Bachchans or Rais but the woman herself.

A very short time into the marriage, when Tina Brown came out with an article on Lady Di’s true state of marriage, a cast of respectable characters were assembled to say that Ms. Brown was full of it. Ofcourse history has shown that Tina was always right. She knew.

Ofcourse this girl is nuts and needs help. Perhaps some of it is true (where there is smoke there is fire). But all of this is one big circus. The claim and the denials are just two sides of the same coin. Sit back and enjoy the ride. The Bachchalans deserve Janavi and Janavi deserves the Bachchalans.

BTW Tina Brown is soon coming out with a even more bolder account. Let us now please not jump the gun and assume that she has something against Lady Di.

Just heard that the beauty and the beast wedding is being written off, for tax purposes, by Amar Singh as a UP promotion cost, i.e. the tax payers in the Sate of UP will bear the cost. I am told by a little birdy who comes by my window, sings a soothing song, and wakes me up every morning that he said , “Ei pheel that the vedding promotes bhaiya kulchur. Ei pheel that Aish nat only macakes Abhishek look less uggli, butt aalso macakes UP look beautyfool” (allow me to translate that, “I feel that the wedding promotes UP culture. I feel that Ash not only makes Lil C look less ugly, but also makes UP look beautiful”)

Agreed, I was hoping that another one would turn up in a true bollywood tradition saying “Main tumhare bachche ki maa banne wali hoon”
