Mumbai Police Celebrities Ki Seva Mein Hazir Ho

Crime rate in aamchi Mumbai is gonna go up by couple of notches for sure this week. The reason being, all the chor-uchaakas of the city are very much aware of the fact that the Mumbai Police currently has only one thing on their mind – The Big Fat Bachchan Wedding.

Apparently more than 300 security guards from the Mumbai Police and private security agency have been appointed to guard the Bachchan bungalows, Prateeksha and Jalsa, from 18th to 21st April. On top of this, special arrangements will be made to divert traffic and also solve the problem of car parking, meaning tons of roadblocks in and around the areas leading to the Bachchan fortresses.

Why such special treatment, I hear you ask?

Duh! We are talking about the Bachchan parivaar here. Plus no one would want to mess with the likes of Amar Singh and Subroto Roy.

So on one side we have bunch lucky havaldars who would be enjoying the Bollywood Blockbuster this Friday night, the not-so-lucky ones would continue performing serious crime fighting hardwork, such as this.

Close to 2,000 cops spent the entire Sunday night hunting for a cabbie who had stolen an expensive mobile phone belonging to member of Parliament and yesteryear actor Vinod Khanna’s son, Saakshi.

Nakabandis were put in place across south Mumbai and the suburbs and a message was flashed to all police stations and patrolling vehicles. The taxi’s owner was traced in no time and the mobile was recovered from the cabbie’s house in Behrampada, Bandra (east) on Monday afternoon.

And our DCP Pratap Dig-havkar couldn’t be more proud.

He said, “It’s a big achievement. We traced the phone in no time.”

When asked if they would have worked equally hard for a common man’s phone, Dighavkar said, “Every citizen is a VVIP for us.”

Ya rite Mr. DCP, we have full faith in your words (Not).

I hope Bachchans have to face a lawsuit for disrupting traffic!

Shadows – I know. Must be some sadhu baba’s recommendation. ;)

Vishal – Well I doubt it, since the Bachchans are paying the cops for their extra special deed.

I doubt they have to pay anyone. That’s the sad part, the rich and famous hardly have to pay to get anything done though they very well can. I am pretty sure the cop will say “Kya Sir apse thode hi naa lenge, ap bus ee photo pur na sign de dijye, hamra ladka khush ho jayega” Damn those lucky farts!
