Ajay Devgan Goes Nangu-Pangu

Years ago, when Salman Khan pranced around on the Big Screen baring his neatly shaved, six-pack, muscles rippling chest in films like Khamoshi, Judwa and Pyar Kiya TohDarna Kya – the Bollywood crazy public loved him while the media critics ridiculed his bare-chested act.

He re-started the shirtless trend which was previously sported by the likes of Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna and Dara Singh but faded off once these super-stars were replaced by the younger lot. While the so-called “Bollywood gurus” and those bitten by the jealousy-bug continued to make fun, apna Sallu bhai least effected, went on ringing the box-office cash register, films after films.

And today we have every other Hindi film male-lead and an actor-wannabe loosing their sleep over gym workouts and fitness regimes, just to fit in the all perfect “poster boy” image. Now if only they could invest the same amount of time and dedication in improving their souring acting skills – * Hinting Mr. John Abraham *.

Anyways the newbie to join the band of Shirtless heroes is none other than the ‘angry-young man’ of today’s cinema, Ajay Devgan.

Ajay would be seen in his new-bodylicious avatar, up-close-and-personal in a sensuous song called “Chaa raha” from the controversial Sholay-remake. His partner in crime is Nisha Kothari, Ram Gopal Varma’s latest fixation and someone who is very much use to walking around in undies and braless tops.

Frankly speaking Ajay doesn’t look all that bad especially if you think of his Phool Aur Kaante days; he surely has come a long way and only to be fair, all the credit should be given to his stylists.

So now this leaves only Bachchan Jr., who continues to shy away from the dare-to-bare. Wonder why?? Maybe Ms. Rai has something to do with it.

John Abraham has a wooden face. But he chooses his movies far better than any of his contemporaries.
Salman Khan has a perennially constipated look. How he has survived so many years in the industry is something that “Ripley’s believe it or not” is investigating.
Abhishek Bachan – Typical “living out of your father’s fame” candidate. Will never achieve even 10% of his father’s fame.
Ajay Devgan – A stylist’s nightmare. But ya, have to agree with your point that his stylists have really worked wonders on him. Nothing to take away from his acting talent. I truly believe out of all the actors today, he is indeed a powerhouse. And, most importantly he has made it by staying out of the Bollywood Mafia (the Johars and the Chopras) team.
