ICC World Cup : Whose Side Are You On?

In the very first match of ICC World Cup we watched the host West Indian Team royally whoop the Men in Green aka. the Pakistan Team’s little tusshies to all shades of a rainbow. They won by a good lead of 54 runs and thereby comfortably cashing in on the opposition team’s unpredictable tendencies.
Frankly speaking, I wanted our friendly neighbors to take the lead (Arey! Don’t give me those dirrrrty looks) right from the very start. I mean they are a good all-round team and definitely do stand a chance in this series. Plus I aint a Brian Lara fan especially after his "cry baby" act involving our dude with sexy hairdo, MS Dhoni.
Anyways what’s done is done so no use crying in spilled milk. But I am confidant that Inzy boy and his lads will surely bounce back very soon; afterall they wouldn’t want to face the military squad back home - do they?
Being an adamant cricket fan myself, here is a look at my top four teams who according to me are most likely to reach the final stage. If the Menons and Daruwallas can do prediction, I am sure me too can do.
So here we go.
Mighty Australians: Ya ya…they stink when it comes to basic necessities like manners, gentlemen behavior, respect for elders, etc etc but the fact remains these guys completely dominate the game. Winning previous two world cups is a very good example of how lethal these kangaroo boys are.
Black Cats from NZ: Good batting depth and their recent white-wash series against Australia are the two very good reasons why they find a spot in my list. Also I think Daniel Vettori is so darn sexy.
Bob Woolmer and his Boys: Their first loss shouldn’t lead you to underestimate their potential.
And last but the most important team.
The Men in Blue: Okay, I know I have ranted against them much more often than in their favor but its heart that rules the mind, no?
Whatever may be the outcome, one thing is for sure my this month’s salary will surely be going the beer pint rather than staying put in my bank account.
Jai Maharashtra Jai Hind.

Oz are the hot favorites!
Black cats are treat to watch
west indies are underdogs
Indians can bounce back
Last but not least Luck will matter in case of south africa ( Remember that match of 1992 world cup after rain the target for SA is 1 Ball 22 Runs Reqd on scoreboard, 1999 Semifinal again that run out)
BTW, it’s nice to see a female having such a big and huge fan of cricket+ a problogger !!

My picks for the World Cup
1. Australia - They play a far superior game than many teams and yes they’re going to be at their best this World Cup, I am sure of that!
South Africa- Don’t know but I have a feeling they’re going to go a long way this World Cup.
West Indies- Don’t forget they are playing on their home land, it could really be advantageous.
And lastly, as much as I’d like my two other fave. teams to win namely India & England. Something tells me that these two teams may fail to reach the Finals, this world Cup..
Sakshi:u’re so funny!;)’Sunny : Yaar idhar hi itna Naach Gaana ho raha hai…toh mein udhar kyon naachu?’ - LOL @that

I would bet my money on the Proteas. Patriotism is one thing, but realism rocks.
