I hate changes. Once comfortable with something, I really don’t think moving away from it until it decides on doing away with me. Be it with a favorite pair of jeans, PSP game, mobile phone, etc, etc.
But what I really dread is moving from an old desktop computer to a new sparkling one. Agree the new one is much cleaner interms of disk space and works like a bullet (well not literally) but looking at the stress one goes thru the first few days – I was better off with my old bullock cart.
The agony of moving mails, important files (personal + blog stuff, don’t really care about office related ones), re-loading softwares, those precious web links, looking for passwords (still can’t locate my Google Adsense one…ahhh!!!) and again feeding my feedreader…
Shit! I think I need a holiday.
Hopefully everything will be sorted and settled soon….and I shall be back with regular blog drama, here and there.
So I say….rukawat ke liya khed hai.
Have a great wkend….and belated Happy Woman’s Day or whatever.

Sakshi, you still need to upgrade… or you wont be able to run the latest tools ..
To copy the stuff.. I prefer the somewhat geeky way… take out the disk, open the new box, attach the disk, and copy the stuff to the new disk (Dont do this if you have a branded PC which is under warranty…. opening the box means warranty is void)
The greatest trick to be efficient at computers – you heard it from me –
1. As much as possible, keep your installed software at default settings. The more you customize, the more you have problems when you shift to a new box.
2. If you have the option of saving settings to a file, save them to file. Eg. Winamp allows you to save equalizer settings to a file. You can now simply “carry” your settings to another computer.
