Anna Nicole Smith, the voluptuous blonde whose life played out as an extraordinary tabloid tale – jeans model, Playboy centerfold, widow of an octogenarian oil tycoon, tragic mother – has died after collapsing at a hotel, aged 39.
Through the ’90s and into the new century, Smith was famous for being famous, a pop-culture punch line because of her up-and-down weight, her Marilyn Monroe looks, her exaggerated curves, her little-girl voice, her dizzy-blonde persona, and her over-the-top revealing outfits.
“She wanted to be like Marilyn her whole life and ironically died in a similar manner,” Leeds (her former lawyer) said. Monroe died of a drug overdose at age 36 in 1962.
Sad. But hopefully she finds herself in a better place now.

Sakshi: My condolences go to her infant daughter. I only hope she growns up to be far more respectable than her own mum who was so badly messed up..

In life, we are trying to be others (role models). Well what was wrong if she wanted to be Marilyn. At least she tried and never hid to be what she wanted to be. She died trying. Glamour industry does not accept simplicity of dreams and we sit at other side of the screen to drool on the screen making them godesses of the moment, on the side walks celebrating their influence in society and try to analyze how sane we are from what we are not doing or accepting to be doing.
Everybody’s life is in mess but majority do not accept it till they die and others point it out. Anna was at least trying to understand her dreams and obsession.
I keep silence for 1 minute just to let her soul rest in peace.

It is actually sadder, as the custody battle for her baby is getting really messy. Just hope that ppl leave her in peace after her death.
RIP Anna.

I have found myself feeling very strongly about her death. It is incredibly sad how her life evolved the way it did. With her son dieing and now her and the baby being left without a mother. I just hope that people can be kind for that child so that when she is old enough to understand she will know that her mother wasn’t a bad person, just terribly misunderstood. I hope she grows to know how much her mother loved her.
