Constructive or not, creative or not but one area in which we, the Mumbai bloggers completely rock is coming up with highly entertaining blog parties.
And we just had another one last evening not withstanding the water shortage crisis in the city.
Keeping up with the festivity mood, my dear friend Ms. Melody turned out to be daring enough to let in a bunch of wacky but weird bloggers into her magnificent house and was also kind enough to serve us food – Mind you! Not some Bandra Ka Dhabha type takeaway but the best Lamb Rogan Josh, I have had in a long time, Grilled Chicken, Pork Chops, Crunchy Salad and equally delicious Shakahari dishes as well.
Plus we had one of those special Lemonade Punch drink; you know the ones you mostly see in American Teen Flicks with Prom parties.
As it usually happens in blog parties, I met a couple of new bloggers and then there was our regular Mumbai jing-bang and a few non-bloggers as well.
Mel played the role of the hostess to the perfection ‘T’. Come to think of it I doubt if she ever stayed in one spot for more than 2 minutes.
Conversations jumped from nude photography, expensive lawyers, womanhood, 26th July Floods, usage of obscene language at work, dogs, cats, Google AdSense and but obviously Bigg Boss (Sorry! Mel, you know I was provoked).
Last but the not the least, we celebrated the evening by indulging ourselves in sinful chocolate cake and others were sweet enough to sing a birthday song along with me for Sallu Bhai (it was his birthday yesterday).
All in all, a perfect end to an almost perfect blogging year.
Thanks Mel, you’re a Rock Star!
The crazy bunch from last night includes : Ajay, Akshay, Vulturo, Sheriff, Pensive Lawyer, IdeaSmithy, Shiju, Gaurav, Shirrin, Vikram, Satya and Me.
Vulturo’s insights on the same.
Ajay’s two-bits, here.
Shiju’s recipe should also be looked at.
A few captured moments:

meets (and blogger-heavy parties) in Mumbai of late and it has been a lot of fun to hang out with Amit (here and here), Saket (here and here), Akshay, Manish (here), Shiju (here and here), Melody (here, here and here), Sakshi (here andhere), Ideasmith (here and here), Divya (here) and the lovely eM (here), amongst others. However, all these parties have been ‘By Invite’ only and who we invite, of course, is limited by who we know.
