Firstly I would like to congratulate all Rakhi Sawant Fans and Bigg Boss followers; hadn’t it been our non-stop cribbing and the consequent TRP backslash of the reality show, the Indian television audience would have continued to miss the ever-so entertaining antics of our nation’s most-talked-about Drama Queen.
I was in Delhi, out for dinner with family when I received a text message from a blogger friend (also a Rakhi Sawant admirer) which read, “I hope you are watching Sony”. My first thought was that she is talking about John Abraham, who was asked to visit the contestants on the show basically a promotional trick for his just released film, Kabul Express.
Within couple of minutes of the first received text message, I was greeted with another, “SHE is back” – needless to say, I was shocked. The shock factor I guess was due to the earlier report published in Mid-Day stating that flop singer Baba Sehgal had been roped in for Bigg Boss as the wild-card entry.
Anyways, once back in my senses with a wide-opened-mouth and a flashy smile I passed on the great news to my cousins and my aunt, who basically couldn’t get over the fact as to how delighted one could get over such minor stupidity. Their question was simple – Do people really take television that seriously?
Many on the table did question the intentions of the people behind the popular reality show – “Rakhi was evicted only to triple the TRPs once she is sent back in again”, “Rakhi was asked to come back because the TRPs had dropped considerably”, “Everything on this show has been scripted from the beginning”, etc and etc.
But if you ask me, I don’t give a damn about the reasons of Ms. Sawant’s revival on the show. The fact is she is back and that’s what matters.
I watched the re-run of the episode on Saturday night and I am so pleased that she hasn’t changed a bit and her dramatic attitude (as always) was at its peak; especially during her chat with Ravi Kissen.
Ravi – “Mein TV par kaisa dikh raha hoon, handsome na?”
Rakhi – “Arey bahut handsome. Tumne toh weight bhi loose kar liya hai. Sirf stomach tohda bahar aah raha hai, sirf stomach ko kaam karma hai”.
Ravi (with teary eyes) – “Sab audience mujha pyaar karti hai na?”
Rakhi – “Arey, majal hai ki koi tumhe yahaan se nikale! Sab tumhe pyaar karte hai. Bhojpuri industry to pagal ho gayee hai. Arey?Hindi film industry bhi tum pe fida hai”.
But the classic line was the one she said to Ravi while hinting him that he needs to watch out from some particular contestants in the house.
Rakhi – “Tumhe Omkara nahi banna na. Koi Omkaragiri nahi”.
I even enjoyed the bit where she was messing around with Amit Saad’s emotions. She made the guy toil and squirm and perfect revenge, I say.
On the other hand I am glad that the most pathetic love couple, Anupama and Aryan are finally out of the show. Now from lust-sick Romeos and overly sensitive Julies, we will finally move back on the bitchy back-biting and crunchy dog-fights – Something I so missed since the departure of Kashmera Shah.
No surprise here as this week’s poll is based on Bigg Boss. I have placed the most likely winner of the reality show as per my intuition. Lets see how many of you guys agree or disagree with me.
Result :
Yippppeeeee!!! 33.3% voters are hopeful that Bigg Boss ki Rani aka. Ms. Rakhi Sawant will win the challange while 24.2% believe that the winner could be Bhojpuri lad Mr. Ravi Kissen.
And then we have the spoil-sport category comprising of 27.3% voters who consider the reality show to be a waste of time. These folks really need to see a doctor!!

Desh: asbolutely second that, and I thought I was the only one who thought all the Shows on TV are just full of shyte! With all the soap-opera’s and their characters almost looking identical to me!!
Although, I do not have the Cable in our house and we’ve only got Foxtel. But, I often get to watch the Cable Connection of Sony, Star,Zee etc at my parent’s house and all I ever see on the screen is all the men and women fully clad in designer clothes with heavy jewellery on 24/7.And the funniest bit is when Im told by my cousin who religiously follows many of these show’s that they are Grandmother’s and Grandfather’s..and I say to myself(What the?)
Cheerio

Desh and Utsa – Kya re! How can you compare Rakhi Sawant with Miss. K’s teary-eyed sister-in-laws and mother-in-laws, what a bloody insult. You guys need to watch it with an open mind…to no the true entertainment value of Ms. Sawant’s tactics.
But then again…as they say, “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”.

Sakshi: I will definitely try and get around to watching Big Boss!Anyway, I am sure you are aware of the muchly awaited verdict on Jessica Lal’s case and Manu Sharma has been convicted of her Murder. Just took bloody seven years to see Justice done to this long and painful case for Jessica’s family!
Anyway, as they say better late than never.:)

Hey, they should put Mikka too on that show
I dont watch that show at all, but by the looks of it, more TRPs and fun – watching Rakhi throwing sandals on Mikka. And mikka singing – “sawant” mein lag gayee aag.

Shadows – If that was possible…then surely thousands of television records would have been shattered.
I can imagine Rakhi getting Mika beaten up by other male contestants…wow…what joy!!
