Dhoom 2 Kissing Affair : Lawsuit Against the Actors
Well today our (Oo…So highly) judicial court would be passing their judgment on whether they think the pair i.e. Hrithik Roshan and Ashwariya Rai are guilty of corrupting the minds of our innocent youth and offending “Bharitiya” women.
For those who read this blog on regular bases (if not, then you should) would be aware of my thoughts on the kissey episode. According to me it was totally “thanda”, so one can totally forget the feeling of being offended and definitely no arousing. I though Hrithik did a good job, as in he kissed well but Ash did not give her 100% to the act. Now that could be due to the presence of the other ‘A’ factor in her life or she is simply a bad kisser.
I was really amused when I heard couple of newspapers reporting that this particular sequence actually caused a tiff between Ashwariya and (maybe soon to be in-laws) the Bachchans. But to actually have a law-suit filed against the two stars for this ‘one’ scene is not only un-just but down-right idiotic.
Now whatever may be the “actual” reason behind the lawyer’s decision of going to the court, what I don’t get-it is the fact that if the Indian Censor Board gave the shot a clean-chit then who the heck is he. I mean isn’t that the very reason why we do have a censor board in place, so that they can chop of all the un-ethical, vulgar, anti-religion, etc types of intentions from the films industry.
If any and everyone can file a lawsuit or stall a film inspite of it being cleared by the ones in authority then we might as well get down with the whole practice of having a censor board. Doesn’t it make more sense?
Another thing that pricks my mind is that where was the lawyer when the Indian film audience saw the arrivals of Sherawats, Hashmis and the likes. And doesn’t he watch Mahesh Bhatt films? How come his personal moral-police woke up only when he saw a big-budget film with two of the most-salable actors in the country? I guess when you look at it this way; it becomes quite clear as what made the lawyer “do the do”.
It is my opinion that the judicial court should have just over-turned the concerned lawyer’s petition the very first day instead of actually setting up a date to pass a judgment and thereby wasting time and giving un-deserved publicity to the people and the film involved. In a country like ours where thousands of crucial and deserving cases go thru a never-ending waiting period, giving priority to such matters serves no purpose for the nation or its people.
Hopefully the court’s decision on the concerned matter would be in favor of the actors involved and it would be even better if the court sets the record straight over such lame-cases which could actually help in refraining others from coming up with more such-like.
To make things even more clear here is the video of the ‘dreaded’ scene, so you guys can judge it for yourself. And just one thing though, do not blink or you might miss it.

We all have a right to express our views. In many instances; it will be against ours and in some; with us. To hear them out is 'decency' but to let them get to you is 'weakness'.

Aishwarya IS hot. My (very few) female friends hate her so much (dunno why), but she is beautiful. Maybe dumb or plastic, but beautiful she is.

BTW, B-grade emraan hashmi movies are much more vulgar, and hell, hashmi even manages to look convincing while lewdly staring at women.
Do our lawyers watch “haseen jawani” type of movies so popular in the cow belts.

Shadows - At times I really wonder as to what pleasure do people derive from such stupidity. Anywaz, slightly off the topic…I thought Ash was too hot in the movie. Didn’t think much of Bipasha though….

So I saw this horridly obscene kiss on the net, and all I have to say is: PLEASE. I give more passionate kisses to my CAT. As for this lawyer guy filing the suit, how uptight can you be??? I feel sorry for his wife. Picture it: She pats him on the knee and says, “Here’s your tea dear” and he smacks her wrist and yells, “Don’t touch me you TRAMP!” Yes, clearly the biggest threat to our well-being as a society is expressions of affection. Forget climate change, nuclear threats, AIDS, income and gender disparity, and all of those trivial little issues, KISSING is what will ultimately lead to the apocalypse.

Sakshi (I hope I get the spelling right the way you like it!)
I can clearly understand by the B-Family got so hyped up over the kiss. If Small-B hadn’t got some of those yet, he must have been devastated to find out that it was so “thanda”. Imagine him going through his whole life with that…
