Go jhoom!

jhoom! – New site on the block

With the ways things are progressing with the desi-blogosphere scene, it wouldn’t be wrong to assume that we are heading towards some sort off blog-explosion in the near future.

And to add to that very explosion, we have the arrival of a new website/blog – jhoom!

jhoom! Is aimed at Indians worldwide, bringing together people passionate about Indian entertainment – artists/performers, music and movie buffs and friends. Unlike majority of blogs, who relatively have an un-known arrival; jhoom! made its presence in style with their launch party at a suburban night club in Mumbai.

Present at the jhoom! launch party to lend their support to jhoom! were leading Musicians, Cinestars and top Indian Models including; singer and actress Suchitra Pillai, DJ Whosane!; from the cine world – Tara Sharma, Koel Purie, Kanchi Kaul; Femina Miss-India 2006 Neha Kapur and top Indian Models – Diandra Soares, Pia and Binal Trivedi, Monikangana Datta, Mridula Chandrashekhar, Tinu Verghese & Kavita Kharayat, amongst many others. [Photos]

Though the site requires registration (which really sucks!!) but I don’t think it’s a bad idea in this case. The site is free to browse and look around but requires registration if one wishes to mingle with other members or place a comment on blog posts. jhoom! offers much more than your regular filmy blog or Bollywood gossip website. You could call it a mixture of community forum, blog and (a complete) entertainment website.

And to make things even more exciting, jhoom! members are often showered with free movies and celebrity events passes.

So do checkout their website and go jhoom!

This post seems more like an incentivized plug than a genuine review.

Ravi – Maybe you just shouldn’t think so much. Firstly I never said it was a review (I always place a review tag, if I do a review post) and secondly, its a mere blog announcement. I found the site to be interesting…and so I said. If you think otherwise, then it’s your problem.

Thanks for dropping by anyways… :)

Apologize if the above comment was offensive. I didn’t mean it to be so.I concede that it may not be a plug, but just that the content made it seem like one.
[off topic ] The layout of the blog is damn neat

Hi Saakshi, thanks for your mention of jhoom!
Just a slight correction…jhoom! does not require registration to surf the content. Registration is only required if one wants to create their own profile or actually connect with other users on the site.

Cheers,
Saurav
