Baabul calls for Truce between Ash and Salman

Few years back Salman Khan and Ashwariya Rai both were an item because of their relationship with each other rather than their respective careers. They often managed to make it to the headlines with their love-fiasco rather than love-bliss. And finally, as many had predicted their relationship hit rock bottom and it was all over - atleast from the actress’s side.

Ash, Abhi & Sallu - Doh se bhale Teen

Since then both of them have come a long way and their lives have changed in many aspects. But one thing that they continued to share was their ’silence’; inspite of being instigated many times by the media the two actors never washed their dirty linen in the open. However Ashwariya did send out an official letter to the Hindi Film Industry and the media, about her ending all ties with Salman and her refusal to work with him in the future.

It’s been nearly four years since the two famous faces of Bollywood parted ways. A reunion was always out of the question, no matter how badly some of the big banners, film financers, directors or the Indian audience - wanted them to come together on the big screen to re-create the “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” magic.

But hold you breadth my friends, the tide seems to have changed and all this, courtesy - Big B and Family.

Looks like Aishwarya Rai and former boyfriend Salman Khan have patched up. Or at least come to a truce.

It all took place at the premiere of Baabul on December 6, when the film’s cast, Salman, Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji, made a grand entry.

Ash — who has made it a major point to avoid Sallu, films with him and all engagements the actor was attending, after they broke up four years ago — surprise, surprise, looking very glam in black, came sweeping into the premiere.

A source tells us there was a significant exchange of glances between Salman and Ash. Amitabh was standing by, probably as the broker of peace.

Frankly speaking, being someone who is well-versed with the industry’s in’s-n-out - I am actually quite surprised to hear this, not that I am complaining.

If this story to its very last word, then it only proves how deep-in is Ash’s feelings for Abhishek. Plus it also shows how talented Mr. Bachchan Sr. is when it comes to relationship management. Or is it that Big B wants Salman bhai on his turf considering the on-going cold war with Mr. King Khan?

Anyhow, I feel it’s a good move by Ash because with this move she has not only displaced her talent of being an “aagyakari” daughter-in-law but this could also prove to be fruitful with regards to her Bollywood career.

So maybe Sanjay Leela Bansali’s (shelved) “Bajiroa Mastani” would finally greet the celluloid screen!

Sakshi,

Do you really think these Bollywood bozos think that much? I guess it just happened. Since Big B is in the movie he came, since he came Abhi came, since abhi came, Aish came and that’s it.

Utsa & Preeti - Ya they both look super hot. They make a really good-looking couple, with Abhishek I feel Ash is such a mis-fit.

Preeti - See, as long as Sallu baby is Happy…I am cool with whoever he is with. But yes…Katrina and he also make a good pair. But I get a feeling that the ONLY woman he every truly loved was Ash.

I watched Baabul on the weekend and didn’t mind the movie really. Although, it was a typical Bollywood flick with all the ‘Masala’. I thought Salman Khan looked absolutely amazing!Rani Mukherji was quite ordinary and didn’t look spectacular but Amitabh Bachchan’s performance was brilliant. John Abraham looked quite good too!

That’s my two cents on the movie:)
