I think it was might have been a breach of trust but to be absolutely sure, a few questions need to be answered.
A) Did Shweta know her conversation was being taped?
B) Was Vithusha’s intention to gain publicity for herself by writing about this or gather public support for Shweta?
C) WHat is Vithusha’s gain vs her loss by writing about this?

Debashish – Agree the “Truth” behind public figures need to thrown open to the public but I guess there should be a “limit” or some “integrity” involved init as well. Rahul is aspiring to become a politician but not his wife. The only doesn’t only involve him but her also…and more than anyone else it is Shweta who will be faced with further trauma. Maybe, Vitusha could have opened up the entire intimate story after Shweta had walked off the marriage or atleast was ready for it being made a public affair.

For a woman its a totally different chapter as compared to a man. Tomorrow we all shall move past this episode…but it her who will have to live with it life-long. Certain issues require to be handled sensibly and delicately….we owe it to our friends.

I see this development differently. Without going into the debate of the story being factually correct or not I think Newspapers do need to publish such stories in public interest. Rahul is a public figure after he entered politics, tomorrow he may run for a high-office the public must be told about his background and activities. The in-laws, sons, grandsons of out politicians have been running amok for quite long, thinking they have a secured political career ahead not due to any worth of theirs but the prowess of their khandaan. They need to be exposed. I think the journo needs credits for not letting her personal relations get in way of her duty as reporter.

Actually, I even tried to get in touch with Vitusha by emailing her but like all the mid-day mailboxs, my mail bounced back. But i personally feel it happened all because of politics.. one party says, open some secrets of someone in public, i give u xx money.. so one openes the diary.. it is a dirty game but we have to live with it.. now no shweta all Rahul Mahajan will be see on TV screens…no answers to the questions raised by public… it all vanished…
