Regular readers of this blog surely are well-acquainted with my growing fondness for India’s best-test Item Girl, Ms. Rakhi Sawant. Be it her dance-jathkas, fiery-interviews, canny publicity stunts or the Mika-Kissing episode - I think this woman totally Rocks!! (Yaar! Stop laughing, I really mean it).
Though I am not much of a believer when it comes to Indian Reality Shows but I do still end-up watching Big Brother remake, Bigg Boss on Sony Channel - No guessing here, the only reason for my inclination is Ms. Sawant.

Deepak Tijori replaces Salil Ankola on Bigg Boss |
Her inclusion in the show provides nothing but pure entertainment. And other contestants appear to be mere Kachcha Aaloo sorts in her comparison. Through the show we get to see Rakhi Sawant beyond her over-the-top dance routines and her plunging neck-lines; we are being familiarized with the real woman inside Rakhi (yeh meine nahi, uskne khud kaha hai).
So is there any difference between her stage-presence and her reality?
A big ‘Yes’ would be my reply.
Agree even off-stage, the woman is very boisterous and extremely loud in her mannerism but appears to be very well rooted to the ground. Come on, its no hidden fact that Rakhi Sawant is often made butt-off most Bollywood jokes and often ridiculed by the media and many of her co-actors. So her decision to be a part of Bigg Boss could have fired-back with the already-formed public opinion and reticent attitude from fellow house-mates.
But two weeks into the show, the controversial dancing girl has managed to step aside from her screen persona and slowly crawl up to the ‘good-side’ of her competitors.
Just as in her reel life where she isn’t afraid of shedding her clothes, here too she manages to let go of her inner fears and non-glycerin tears. And above all she isn’t afraid of telling the hard-core truth about her life and the industry she feeds off.
Here is a little snippet of her conversation with fellow co-star and Bigg Boss contestant - the reel-n-real life vamp, Kashmira Shah.
Rakhi’s opinion on herself
“Mein ek characterless aurat hoon”
Rakhi’s thoughts on Marriage
“Mujhe dar hai ke mein buddhi hoo jaoongi aur mujhse kaun shaadi karega”
Rakhi on her mother
“Meri maa meri shaadi nahi karma chahati hai. Shaddi ke offers aa rahe hai par woh unhe bhaga deti hai.”
“Woh kahate hai ki mere marne ke baad hi toh shaddi karna. Par tab muj buddhi se kaun shaddi karega”.
Rakhi’s reaction on hearing about Kashmira’s crush on Govinda’s nephew-actor Krishna.
“Wow! Bada handsome ladka hai”.
Giving a flying fuck to what other’s think about this woman, I feel that she should in all probability be the winner of Bigg Boss. She deserves brownie points for her openness (attitude wise), frank opinion and to me she is so much more real than those soapy queens and some San Jose plastic surgeon’s knife-crafted ramp models.
Ab whatever she is doing on Bigg Boss turns out to be a pretense or rigged by the show-producers, then all I will say is that she is definitely one heck of an actress.
On another note, in the two weeks of the reality show - Bobby Darling was first to be thrown out and then this week it was gown-baba Deepak Parashar time to go, now who do you think would be the next one to be kicked out?

.we never liked her much on TV or wherever it was one saw her. And the other just kind of drift out of one’s memory. We aren’t the only ones enjoying the tamashaa apparantly. Here’s what Amit andSakshihave to say.
