Men, Sex, Sleep and Nipples

Weird questions…simple answers

Now don’t be alarmed, I am not going to recite another (horrible) sexual itch incident. But instead, this is going to be quite an informative post (well that’s what they want us to believe), especially when it comes to understanding the other human species aka. Men. So all you ladies and men (interested in men) out there have your eyes and ears perked up and read this carefully.

Writer-physician duo Mark Leyner and Billy Goldberg are back again with a new book titled, “Why Do Men Fall Asleep After Sex?: More Questions You’d Only Ask a Doctor After Your Third Whiskey Sour,” which promises to answer your wildest questions. The book tackles issues from the universal — “Why can we still not cure the common cold?” to the obscure — “Can you breastfeed with fake boobs?”

Arey, don’t worry this not one of those books which are filled with heavy scientific jargons and reasonings but instead uses smart and humorous approach. I mean come-on with questions like Why Do Men Have Nipples? Why do men die so young? Or can men lactate? – can you ever have a serious answer.

And as for the question that (most) women surely ponder upon – Why do men fall asleep after sex?

In simplest terms, because they work so damn hard! It is thought that exertion during sex and after climax depletes the muscles of energy-producing glycogen. This leaves men feeling sleepy. Since men have more muscle mass than women, men become more tired after sex. Also (believe it or not!) women don’t always have an orgasm, and that keeps them from producing all those other hormones.

So from now on men have an easy way out for their lack of cuddliness (post sex), they can simply blame it all on the hormones.
