Touch Down NYC

So finally after nearly 24 hours journey across continent I have touched base in New York City.

Not that I am complaining British Airways is absolutely amazing but I guess everything is fantastic if you get to park your butt in the Business Class section. Na, seriously the flight and the staff were fabulous however the only thing that ruined my journey was the extra long haul at London airport due to technical problem with the aircraft. Then again as they say, ‘its better to be safe than sorry’, so can’t really crib over it much.

Then once we land at JFK airport at 12.30 am, there was apparently a long queue, so again 20 minutes wasted there in search of a free terminal. After that everything went smoothly though my mental state was a bit zombie like.

Contrary to what I had been informed, the immigration staff was pretty nice and soft spoken, cleared everything without a zilch.

Then finally stepped out, searching for my best friend and her hubby and those two seemed to be so engrossed in their conversation that they didn’t even see me pass in front of them; now talk about friendship.

And then best bit is when my best friend realized me that I was standing in front of her the only words that she could come up with was, “What are you doing here?”

Anyways we settled in by 2.30 am, after all the gifts giving-taking procedure was over.

Got up at 9.00 am, had a big jugga of Milo and now all set to explore New York City. First destination…none other than Manhattan but before than a stomach-packing pizza lunch at Lazzro.

Yes…let the holidays begin.

America, United Kingdom, France and Me

Mumbai has been hit by heavy showers once again this season. It’s been nearly 48 hours and there seems to be no signs of stopping this frenzy.

Hopefully it will all ease down by tomorrow morning because I really don’t want my flight to get delayed. Yes! People finally I am off for my 6 weeks break and this holiday spree comes after 2 years butt-slogging and back aching time spent at work.

Here is a look at my tour planner

Friendship

Little Mary Margaret was not the best student in Catholic School. Usually she slept through the class.

One day her teacher, called on her while she was sleeping. “Tell me Mary Margaret, who created the universe?”

When Mary Margaret didn’t stir, little Johnny who was her friend sitting behind her, took his pencil and jabbed her in the rear.

“God Almighty!” shouted Mary Margaret.

The Nun said, “Very good!” and continued teaching her class. A little later, the Nun asked Mary Margaret, “Who is our Lord and Savior?”

But Mary didn’t stir from her slumber. Once again, Johnny came to her rescue and stuck Mary Margaret in the butt.

“Jesus Christ!!!” shouted Mary Margaret. Again, the Nun said, “Very good!”

Mary Margaret fell back asleep.

The Nun then asked her a third question…“What did Eve say to Adam after she had her twenty-third child?”
