The Science of Love

Attention Please:

All the ones who are in love, wanna fall in love, were in love but not anymore, looking for soul mates – basically everyone who is a sucker for love, you would find this very interesting.

As per BBC Science website there are certain Key points that one needs to understand when it comes to the twisty, stomach churning, knees weakening kind-da feeling called, Love.

1. There are three phases to falling in love and different hormones are involved at each stage – Lust, Attraction and Attachment.

2. When we are attracted to somebody, it could be because subconsciously we like their genes.

3. Smell could be as important as looks when it comes to the fanciability factor. We like the look and smell of people who are most like our parents.

4. Science can help determine whether a relationship will last.

But this one hits right on the target.

5. Events occurring in the brain when we are in love have similarities with mental illness.

I can totally relate to this one, I mean how else would you describe these chain of events – Heavy rains, one bunks college lecture…runs to the near-by Paan-Beedi stall…buys two bars of Five Star chocolates…..on the way back to college twists the ankle and nearly gets saved from landing at Nanavati Hospital…still with whatever speed one could manage with a swollen ankle runs to the class room….stands outside from nearly 40 minutes till the lecture is finished.

All of the above just to hand out the chocolate bar to the fancied one and receive a plain, ‘Thank You’ in return.

I am totally out of context again, but I just read this piece on Rediff. Have a look.
Idle Questions for you, Sakx (coz you are a Bolly buff):
1. Is he any better than his dad?
2. Is THIS what we should expect in the coming months? Style (!?) and “looks” …. uhhhuh…
3. If you can tolerate it, you may read the last paragraph in the piece and analyze it.

P.S: Don’t mind. I am just trying to keep up with Bollywood here..
