Paris Hilton – Feminist Icon?

Is Paris Hilton our new feminist icon? Hell no, I would say.

Accepting this statement would be like believing the notion that Mr. Anu Malik can sing.

However Sydney Morning Herald has published a quite interesting article cum interview on her.

I tell her she seems less ditzy, more considered than the Paris Hilton of The Simple Life. “People are surprised when they meet me because they assume I’m going to be completely different.” Does it make her laugh when people assume she’s stupid? “Yeah, I’m laughing all the way to the bank … it’s the character I play in The Simple Life. It’s not how I am.”

But this is the best bit.

I can’t help myself. I have been staring at her feet for ages. Hilton, who is 172.5cm, is wearing brown strappy sandals. Her toes look tiny at the end of her huge feet – American size 11s. She’s not too happy with her feet, but is quite content with everything from the ankles upwards.

Raging hormones of writer, me thinks.

Anyways according to me Lady Paris Hilton is a perfect example that proves – beauty and money together can turn a slow paced journey into a cruise control Ferrari ride.

What say?

I wonder if this author has seen any of her interviews. If she isn’t an airhead, I don’t know who is. I suppose the interviewers are asking the wrong questions.

On that note, when J.Lo was asked if Richard Gere, and Japanese Prime Minister Koizumi looked alike, she went “amm..Who?”. Guess where she was at that time, Japan, on her premiere interviews for “Shall we Dance?”..

I’d be damned if Paris Hilton is a feminist icon. She is just a rich & spoiled babe. I refuse to think that she can even think about anyone else but herself !!
