I took my 5 year old nephew Krtin for an outing with some of my friends on the weekend. Later on we landed up at Bombay Blues restaurant in Bandra. Inspite of being warned a zillion times by my sister-in-law to keep Krtin’s hands off deserts – I was forced to give in. I tried; I really tried to distract him but how could I match up to his excellent tactics of emotional blackmail. And so I bought him a plate of Hot Chocolate Fudge Ice cream.
My nephew with his innocent smile and even more sincere words promised that the Chocolate Fudge secret would just remain between us. Being a gullible fool, I went back home with him, thinking believing that everything was under-control.
Ahhhh! What a fool I had been.
Next morning when mama darling was giving Master Krtin his bath, she popped him a question – “Where did Bhua take you last night?â€
Krtin (lost brother of Dennis) laid down his plan of getting off the hook.
“Mama I tell you something†– He started.
“What Krtin?†– Mama asked.
“Mama, you should yell at Bhua†– He urged.
“Why?†– Puzzled mama questioned.
“Bhua forced me to have a Hot Chocolate Fudge Ice creamâ€.
Na…I could have never thought of this, even at this age.

kids now a days think up the ‘devilishest’ things:-). Let’s wait to see how much farther the next batch of toddlers will go.
