Aah..but they WERE good. I cannot deny that they deserved this. Feelings aside and judging by the game alone, we should hand it to them.
The Tournament was an amazing one, and this was a fitting final. No grudges from my side in the end. Yes, there were no more favorites for me after Germany lost, but the quality of game never disappointed me.
In the end, it doesn’t matter because I am still drunk on 1 month of sheer madness!
Cheers to a wonderful World Cup, and kudos to the flawless hosting by Germany.

P.S: The only dark mark was your “baby”, Sakx, who spoilt a wonderful career and his team’s chances by behaving exactly like what you think he is – a KID. Tempers are always high in the heat of the gae (and this was the FINAL..), but players are trained to keep themselves in check. And if a player of his stature and experience forgets THAT in a crucial moment, who can you blame?

Italy was definitely a better team.
And yes, France winning would have set a very bad example.
That you can be dull , dour , boring, rough , unimaginative and uncreative , and still win the world cup.

BTW, France were lucky to get to the penalty strikes. The 7th minute Zidane penalty kick goal was unjustified. The frenchie had dived.

A friend of mine said – Playing with France is like playing against a computer game. You know it has set responses. It is boring. But then, you can still lose to the computer game because it is very good at whatever limited it does.
