I dont think Italy cheated anywhere in the game. Or that the referee was smart enough, he did not give much chance to Italians to cheat. I miss Collina, the best referee in his time(ohh and an italian too). I used to watch him perform rather than the players, many a times.

Anyway, yeah, only Germany out of the last four actually deserved to be in the semis, the rest seem to be riding their luck. France was almost eliminated at the group stage itself, and were lackluster throughout, plus dull and dour.

I have hopes from Portugal, but I never thought they would reach the semis. Brazil would have creamed them, but then France did Portugal a kind of favour by eliminating Brazil. But now that my dark horses have come so far, they might go all the way.

Thats all right, but I dont know when were “WE” playing in the world cup??

Anyway, I would bet on Portugal. These guys are in awesome form since last two years. And the Scolari effect is showing Its just not about skill alone, its about tactics too. See how Van Basten’s team held Argentina to a goalless draw.

Germany did play well overall. They were playing good organized and attacking football. In my honest opinion, this was one of the best matches of this world cup. If you had watched without favourites, it was an amazing game. The game swung both sides, both teams had good chances. In the end, the team with a better goalkeeper made it.

France ?? I wonder why you like such teams. So dull and dour, except zizou. And I must say again, tough men dont cheat. They dont need to, in fact.

I suppose, todays match between France and Portugal is also very unpredictable. France might get through, but its difficult to get past Italy. They are not the best team around, but still Italy is finding form now.
