Big Brother No More
Australian Prime Minister, John Howard is certainly one of the most-disliked prime ministers of our times. And I am sure most Australians would agree with me on this.
Firstly he was the one responsible for imposing GST, then it was his decision of supporting the other fart-head George Bush over the Iraq war, then there were few of his un-wanted cricket comments, his views on rap singer Eminem – just a few examples.
But thankfully for once he has voiced his personal views correctly and most importantly for the correct reason.
This is what happened –
Two housemates were kicked off the programme on Saturday and police were called in after an early-morning incident was broadcast live on the Internet by the Ten Network.
However the Police said they would lay no charges about the incident, where a male contestant held down a female housemate while another male contestant rubbed his crotch in her face.
John this time round made sure his views over the episode were heard by everyone.
“I think it is just a question of good taste,” Howard said on Sunday. “Here is a great opportunity for Channel Ten to do a bit of self-regulation and get this stupid programme off the air.”
And this is not the first time where complaints have been launched with Channel Ten by viewers over the raunchy antics of the young housemates.
Still it’s pretty strange that the Police are not filing charges against the two housemates involved, which just proves that it was cheap stunt by the Channel Ten management. But I still don’t see the need to axe the entire series, Channel Ten just needs to get its act together and no indulge further in cheap tactics inorder to improve its TRP ratings.

We all have a right to express our views. In many instances; it will be against ours and in some; with us. To hear them out is 'decency' but to let them get to you is 'weakness'.
