Hrithik’s Support For Aamir – Sincere Or Disingenuous?

Couple of days back, India’s very own Super Hero (in the reel world) aka. Hrithik Roshan practically yelled out his support for Aamir Khan thru every news media available.

He stated that he was ashamed to live in a country where democratic rights of individuals are threatened by political parties. In his media-outburst he stated that he would stand by Aamir’s fight against political injustice and hopes that Aamir would fight for his right till the very end.

Now I agree, Hrithik did a good thing by spreading his words of support for Aamir Khan. However I can’t help myself from doubting and questioning his intentions.

And I have my reasons for doing so.

Firstly, it took the guy nearly 10 days to react. Where the heck was he earlier!! As per his statement, he was busy with an action sequence for Dhoom 2 – now this is really lame. I mean come on, it’s not that he was 24-hours rapped up at his movie-set; he isn’t that sort of a perfectionist.

Secondly, Hrithik’s reaction seems to be more directed by Yash Chopra – the reason being, Fanaa is produced by Yash and Aditya Chopra and so is Dhoom 2 (in which Hrithik plays the villain). So it could be that Yash Chopra asked for a favor from the blue-eyed boy, which he duly complied with.

Lastly and most importantly, Hrithik after his first session with the media later tried to turn his words around by crying foul play. He claimed that he was mis-quoted in the press reports which implied that he had made accusations against the BJP.

In his defense he said, “I am not a politician, I have nothing against any political party and I have not mentioned the word ‘BJP’ in any of my statements.”

But Hrithik baba doesn’t understand here is that he didn’t need to use the ‘BJP’ word itself, his words in-directly did hint on them. After all it is the BJP party that Aamir is fighting against, so when you support Aamir, you are in-a-way not happy with BJP’s actions.

I just feel that in all the commotion and loyalty towards the Yash Chopra clan, Hrithik got carried away and later on realized the consequences of his action on his forthcoming movie, ‘Krissh’ which is produced by his father. The foul play act appears more of a way to back-track his earlier statements on BJP. Seems like Hrithik will have some explaining to do in front of Papa Roshan.

Frankly, I sincerely hope that I am wrong about the whole thing here and that Hrithik meant every word in his support for Aamir. However if I stand true then this episode seems to fall under the bracket of highest degree of stupidity acted out by Roshan Jr.
