Wow!! What a bloody match was that. Germany totally dominated the game inspite of Argentina’s initial lead.
They took advantage of the negative approach adopted by the Argentineans and thereby advanced to the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ semi-finals after winning a 4-2 over their opponents in a penalty shoot-out following a tight, tense match in Berlin’s Olympiastadion tonight - which had ended in a draw after the normal play time.
Undoubtly the German victory clearly belong to their amazing goal keeper Jens Lehmann who saved two penalty kicks; first by Roberto Ayala and then by Esteban Cambiasso. The shock on the Argentinean faces – players and fans were completely priceless.
Tonight the German’s stated that they are tough mind-players and most importantly they proved many of the Football Pundits wrong about their prediction of an Argentinean victory.
Germany surely kicked some Ass and Attitude in the field today.
This is THE SONG from super-duper hit movie; Disco Dancer released in 1982 which practically made Mithun Chakraborty, an over-night heart-throb of the nation - and is also responsible for making me a Superstar.
Check out the Video -
Okay now by superstar I don’t mean it from the Bollywood angle…nor from some stage performance and definitely not from the SIFish point of view (oh! you smart ass…don’t fly your brains too high).
Actually on this very song I came out to my family (again don’t think too much) as in this is the first song I ever danced on in front of my family. And not just my close family but around 300 odd people (strangers and relatives included).
Mumbai is a place that houses millions of dreams, hopes and aspirations. Hundreds of people from different cities, small towns, villages run to our city with the hope that she will help them see thru their struggle and will be responsible for their survival. Many succeed and many get lost somewhere in her dark nights, sinister streets and high-rise buildings. The crudeness of the city spares no one - it does not differentiate between a man and a woman or an adult and a child.
For these people life is a constant dance between Duty and Desire; duty towards family and desire towards one-self. Sonu’s life was no different, it was her duty towards her family that brought her to Mumbai from Bhopal and it was her innocent desire that lead her to her death.
On the night of 21st June, 10 year old Sonu Nirmal Kumar (a domestic help) was found hanging from a bed sheet tied to the ceiling fan at her employer’s house in a Mumbai suburb.
Sonu had been working for the Gajarias for the past few months. The Gajarias told the police that they had gone to Sion on the day of the incident and when they returned they found Sonu hanging from the ceiling. However once the post mortem report was received, it stated the most horrifying reality; sodomy and rape were the causes of death.
There are a lot of things that are wrong in this world. If we do not raise our voices and try to bring justice to these issues at hand, we do ourselves and our society an injustice.
Here are some campaigns that are on-going at To Each It's Own
