Rape accused Abhishek Kasliwal |
Picture taken by Mumbai Mirror‘s lensmen of rape accused Abhishek Kasliwal coming out of the Arthur Road Jail after being granted bail by The Bombay High Court on Thursday.
Justice V M Kanade, while granting bail to Kasliwal, directed him to furnish a surety of Rs 50,000 and not to leave the country without the permission of the court. He has also been asked to be away from Mumbai and Maharashtra, till the conclusion of the trial at the sessions court here.
The court, however, permitted him to reside in Delhi, as requested by his counsel, with a direction to report his presence at the local police station every evening for four week. The HC also directed that Kasliwal, along with his parents, should not make any attempt to tamper with the evidence available against him.
While granting him bail, the court also directed the state government to provide adequate security to the victim and also prepare a plan for her welfare.

Hopefully you are wrong and Abhishek gets what he deserves. First of all he has to be sentenced for drunk and drugged driving and then raping the woman 4 times within one hour and braking her hand. I am a visitor to your country and have bin assured that it is very safe for a woman to walk about Mumbai . Let me tell you if you let those spoilt, young, rich punks get away with crimes like that, I am not safe in Mumbai at all. Next time he goes out there driving with too much alcohol in his blood, I might be in the car he hits. Has anybody ever ask the question why he dislikes himself so much that he has to beat up woman?? He’ll never learn his lesson if his parents help him to get away with the crime commited. He brought discrace to his family, most of all to his grandfather who worked so hard to create the SKumar empire. My heart goes out to the members of the Kasliwal family who are good people, just happen to be related to this scam bag.
