Meet the champions…

This Sunday was clearly one of the most amazing days for me. For the very first time me and my doggy Spike were part of the 17th The Kennel Club of India show. It was held at Dadar Parsi Gymkhana. The day started pretty early for most of us lazy folks on Sunday morning.

Me, Spike and my best friend reached the club at about 9.30 am (were lucky to get a good parking spot), sadly had to leave Rusti home because non-participating dogs are not allowed. There were more 150 dogs across various breeds at the showground. The whole atmosphere was filled with loud barks…and loads of ‘oooos’ and ‘aggghhhs’ by the public present at the show.

There were few dogs from overseas who had been specially flown down to Mumbai along with their handlers by a couple of famous breeders. There were two judges, one from Malaysia and the other from South Africa. We were very fortunate to get the opportunity to interact with the judges and the committee member since we knew the managing head of the Mumbai Kennel Club from the doggy park in Bandra.

Anywaz…better than my rants, its best to show you guys some of the photos from the show.

Here is my super-duper stud…with his trainer

And I am very proud to announce that my Spike was awarded 1st Prize by both the judges as best of his breed i.e. Dalmatian and was also awarded “challange certificate” by both the judges.

[...] From a cute little sweet heart, he has turned into a giant (not-so-friendly) beast. Extremely hyper and very bossy, he actually believes that he owns our housing compound. Has won couple of certificates for ‘Best of Breed’ category at the recent Kennel Championships. He will be turning 3 years old this year. [...]

I know this one sucks, but there is one doubt, the Guy does not look like a Stud to me. Pretty ordinary !! And what does the dog train him in ?? How to stick the tongue out ???

Pardon the Bad Humour.

Couldn’t think much on seeing so many dogs on the same page.

Pardon me because I been bitten by a dog and got a good 36 injections in my tweens.

Good Adoration of Dogs. Keep it down.
