this song is really nice website it’s the first time i’ve actually came on to this website it’s quiet disappointed the words weren’t even right. but the second lyrics are difinately right because i’m always listening to this song.

webisolutions.com is wrong, that song is from atif, the version he made for kalyug. in all honestly, when jal was actually together (goher and atif), thats when ‘aadat’ was written, but after that, the 2 started having problems. atif took gohers music for songs like dil haarey, woh lamhay, etc and released his cd jal pari before jal could. so aadat came out later, when goher compiled farhan and shazi in his band. atif is a very talented and good looking artist, but in reality..a bastard. who stole gohers music and ended up selling it to india. the real genious behind all of it is goher mumtaz.

Lyrics are meaningful as much as the soulfull tune, but the credit obviously goes to JAL .

We have started to get unsed to rip-n-use system. Newest and latest in the news is Aadesh Srivastava accusing Anu Mallik for stealing his music.

Uhh… The second set of lyrics were from the Hindi movie. It was an adaptation of Aadat. The first set were from Atif Aslam’s Jal Pari and Jal’s Jal. Both Atif and Jal released the song after he split with them. Both versions are good, but Atif’s is amazing. The version made for the Hindi movie pales in comparison. I would dare to say that it totally sucks compared to the original. Also on Atif’s Jal Pari(and Jal) is another hit song you all may recognize, ‘Woh Lamhey.’ Another great pakistani song in an indian film. I recommend either Jal Pari or Jal to anyone looking for some good music. Personally I don’t know the legal battles outcome, who had what rights to what songs, what the current fight between Atif and Jal is or any of that crap, all I know is that Atif’s versions of the songs are a bit better because the man has an AMAZING voice. So if I had to choose between the two, I would take Jal Pari over Jal any day.

Hi Claire, as noted above, there are 3 or 4 versions of the song, each with slightly different lyrics– if you specify which song’s lyrics you are looking for (jal version, atif version, kalyug version) i will try to help you out!

Lot of yuk yuk about this song here!!! Someone even suggests that his song would remain a favourite for generations to come! Maybe it would.. But people its just a ruddy song and another band..so..dont lose yourselves.

The first one is from Atif. Second one is from Kalyug. Both Suck. The best one if from jal and atif.

The best Aadat is The one which Atif sang in the album JALPARI…and after that definitley BIkhra Hun main by Jal from their album Aadat..and yeah mana bikhra hun main is not available in atifs voice…as its ithe extended version of aadat and lyrics in the beginning are by Goher Mumtaz..

Atif is simply best.Actually the lyrics were not only of Goher but also of Atif aslam.And actually the voice of Atif is lot more better then that of Jal (Farhan&Goher).So ATIF rocksssssssssssssss!!!!

i absolutely fell in love with this song the second i heard it. but there always wicked songs out on the chart so nothing to dribble on really. next year theyll be another fab track out and so on, even though its a wicked song i dont think itll stay for many generations to come.
