Heros of Blogosphere….

By now most of you must be aware of the IIPM Blog War called out by Desi Pundit in an effort to bring together all the bloggers to show their support for Rashmi Bansal, JAM editor and a popular blogger and Gaurav Sabnis of Vantage Point.

JAM evaluated educational institutions in the private sector and presented us with the concrete facts behind the tall and false claims boosted by IIPM institute. In retaliation, IIPM’s chamchas and other paltu assholes have sort to abusive comments and threats on Rashmi Bansal’s blog as well as Gaurav’s blog.

Both of them had to go thru this mess, just because they stood by their views and beliefs.

Reactions from the blogging world -

Press Talk, Gawker , Sujata, Kaps, Global Voices, Patrix, AparnaArzan have their take on this issue.

You can show your support by linking Desi Pundit’s IIPM war or by linking to the blogs that have written about it.

*Here is my support – By google bombing IIPM.

Here’s what one must do. Create a hyperlink to IIPM’s web page – hhttp://www.iipm.edu – and put “Mis-Managed Attitude” or “Idiots” ( one word suggestion by Varun ) in the text.

Once you have done the above, the Link will appear like this : Mis-Managed Attitude or Idiots

So please go ahead do your Blogging deed !!

A successful Google bomb would be the icing on the cake. However don’t you think it will be better to choose some simply word(s) instead of ‘Mis-managed attitude’. Accepted that it is probably more accurate but 1 or 2 simple words would prove to be a much better google bomb.

I agree with you. However I dont think anything else will suit them better. If you or anyone else has a better suggestion…we shall follow that.

I think I have a better idea. Let’s google bomb the search term “IIPM” so that a page containing its misdeeds comes up on top. Details here

I agree with Ravikiran… whenever someone tries to google for IIPM, he should at least find 3-4 articles containing the truth in the top 10 searches…

Something wrong with the XHTML here. There are some basic problems with your comment form’s code

In this specific case, I’ve a feeling SpamKarma is messing it up for you – you need to edit the comment by freedom of speech.

Saket

Sorry for saying this, but we are getting cheaper than IIPM by the hour. What are we achieving by Googlebombing (or Wikibombing) IIPM? Are we realising that in all this, we are going into the ditch to fight the pigs?

Till now, bloggers from across the country have conducted themselves with a lot of civility (regarding this issue). I’m certain that this has earned us the support we are currently enjoying. Why screw all that up?

Dear Vijay, i understand what you mean. But please note that we re not using any low graded language even in our google bombing or wikibombing process. This process simple helps readers who search for IIPM on the net will hopefully be lead to the right pages…containing the right info about the institute.

There has to be other ways….besides just blogging about the whole incident.

Sakshi, I am reminded of an old joke.

A man is walking along a busy street one evening. A woman standing at the corner of that street says “How about a good hour for 500 dollars?”

“But ma’m,” says the gent “500 is too much. I would settle for not more than 50!”

“What do you think of me, Sir? Some cheap whore, eh?” retorts the woman.

Our man replies, “Well, we’ve already established that fact. We are only haggling on the price.”

Pardon me, I know I have been rude. But the simple fact that you are resorting to Googlebombing is tantamount to blood in your hands. Maybe, you are fine with it, but it so very nicely shrouds a crime under the name of public service. Surely, there are much better (read: more civil) ways of establishing IIPM’s lack of credibility.

They say “Nice guys finish last”. I’m living it out!

Vijay, funny joke mite. But i just dont see how this joke fits with IIPM issue. Maybe i am a bit daft in such corelated examples.
Inregards to your civil behaviour reference, then i think you have not read most of the posts on IIPM by other bloggers mentioned on your own blog, they surely go beyond ur civil set bar.
I dont think i am wrong when i call IIPM ‘mis managed’ or ‘idiots’, their actions compell me to do so.
We both are fighting for the same cause but are ways are different. So i would just say ‘to each its own’.
You might be content with finishing last, but i am not.
Keep blogging :)

Sakshi, blogs can be uncivil, not an encyclopedia. That was / is / will be my stump speech. Anyway, as you say, to each his own. But I would still urge you to revisit your bombing plan.
